Picked up my 00 Avant 1.8T QMS Hibiscus Red/Opal yesterday. It looks sharp. My biggest concern was the sport wheels. I thought they looked poor (much worse than the 99 version) in the pictures posted in this forum. When I picked the car up, there was a 99.5 with the 7 spoke sport wheels right next to it. I think the 00 wheels look better. They appear to make the wheel look larger, almost like a 17 inch wheel when compared to the 99.5. I'm happy.

On June 14 I arranged an option swap on 99.5 on a car due to arrive at the dealer in August. According to the dealer, Audi changed the order to an 00. This delayed the delivery to the end of September. The dealer was INSKIP in RI.

Geoff....congrats bud! I'm getting my '00 1.8T Avant in 2 weeks !! I also
agree w/you regarding the wheels. As soon as I saw the photo of the 00
sport wheels, I was releived to notice how much larger they appeared ! For once,
the 'illusion' works in our favor !!!! Good luck w/it ! keep us posted on major events!
