Hi All,

Looking for some clarification on what I need for a Avic-D3 install. Read the posts and the tech article

1. Avic-D3
2. Pioneer iPod direct control cable (CD-I200)
3. Sirius Satellite Tuner (SIR-PNR2)
4. After market faceplace (Metra 99-9102 or Scosche AU2390B)
5. Harness (Metra 70-1787)
6. Antenna adaptor (Metra - 40VW54)

Questions:

1. Is 99-9102 the correct faceplate for the 2003? I see some people use 99-9105 but I presume that is for the B5's?

2. Does the Metra 99-9102 come with all the mounting brackets that are included in the 99-9105? Pictures make it look like it is the face plate only. Can't seem to get a good listing of products anywhere. Would it make sense to also get the 99-9105 to use if the brackets if they are not included in the 99-9102?

3. Any harness alternatives? The 70-1787 requires soldering according to the tech article. Anything else available that is more plug and play?

4. I've seen reference to the Metra PR0180 harness. Do I need this in additional to the 70-1787?

4. Am I missing anything?
