Pop off your aluminum/woodgrain "wrap around" trim on the door. If you are lucky, you can use your hands to start at the front-most end and it will pop out from there. If not, then lift it slightly with a screwdriver taped in electrical tape. When the trim is almost out, you will have to slide it and unclip it from the rearmost catch. Remove the (I think) 4 screws that were under the trim. 2. Remove the screw from the inside of the bottom of the armrest. 3. Remove the screw from the bottom middle of the door panel. 4. Now the door should be ready to have the panel pop off. I put a used towel or old blanket underneath the door for when the panel is going to be set down. 5. Starting at the bottom-left corner (where the speakers is), put your fingers inside and start working your way along the bottom of the door. 6. Lift the panel starting from the corner and working your way outward and upward. You will hear snaps and pops. Chances are high you will break the "one time" clips on the inside of the panel, though for some reason only the clips on my rear doors broke and not the two fronts. 7. Once all the clips and retainers have popped, you will have to "unhook" the top of the panel from the foam retainers and upper edge of the door. It will take a good upwards heave if this is the first time the panel has been off. 8. While the panel may be off the door, it's not ready to go anywhere yet... it's easier if you have an extra set of hands to help you here, if not then have some endurance in your arms. Unclip the Bowden cable from the door mechanism on the panel. 9. Unclip the wire harness going from the door panel to the door speaker. 10. Unclip the various connections to the window regulator module. To re-install, just replace the broken clips in the door panel and pull out any "leftovers" in the door skin. Also look out for the two little white clips that seem to get stuck easy in the door, they are along the upper edge at either side. And that about covers it. Post here if you have any other questions. |
