I haven't ever looked at replacing the stock speakers, mine are fine, but she has done a number on the ones in her A4.
I see a lot about MBQtz, but are they the same size etc... Can we just get new OEM ones from somewhere?
She tends to listen to music at an excessive level.

The B5 takes different speakers than the B6 and B7.
I have an allroad, and if you took your craptastic Bose speakers out and looked at them you would be underwhelmed at their state of decay. Not materials science's finest hour.
Anyway, if she plays it loud, she needs an amp and new speakers. The Audi OM actually states that an amp can be added to the factory head unit. You need two adaptors or a harness from TeddyBGame.
Is she playing rap loud, or other music? With rap loud, sometimes a sub is the only solution. If she's playing something else loud, she could get by with a small amp and new F speakers. If she has a B5 A4, new 6.5 woofers in the R deck could do it.

Yes, rap is a problem with her. I've told her to get a sub too, but she's helpless. I figure I'll just tell her what to get and put it in for her.
But as for the rest, if we just replace the blown speakers and tune the sub so that she doesn't have to have a lot of bass come out of the rest of the system will that be ok? I'd like to keep it as uncomplicated as possible and adding an amp for the entire system doesn't sound that simple.
