View Full Version : Replacing Bose Speakers, found a solution...

I just got my RNS-E Navi installed(like OEM look) and replaced my front blown Bose speakers with 6 1/4" JBL GTO527 and they sound great. They run at 2 ohm.

I will be replacing my rear door Bose speakers with 6.5" JBL GTO627, which also run at 2 ohms.

So bad I moved the balance to the driver's side. When I opened up the door panel the speaker looked fine, so I removed it from the door,turned on the radio, and it was still crackling. I put in the new speaker and the crackling was gone. Music to my ears =)

It would have been nice if Audi made it a touch screen, but I guess it looks better without all the fingerprints

Wouldn't 2 way components have been a better idea, as you're still using the crappy Nokia tweeters.

Sorry for tangential post, but does my 96 A4 have a prewire for the CD changer?It has the Bose system w a trunkmount amp.Any info would be greatly appreciated.
