View Full Version : looking for an ice link plus trunk cd changer cable.... trichards 12-22-2006, 07:19 AM i have the new denison i pod link up (behind the front stereo), but want to just run the i pod through the rear cd changer hook up. anyoe know where you can still get them ? SouthboroAudiGuy 12-22-2006, 09:01 AM why? I originally thought I'd go that route but ended up connecting directly to the radio and I think it's the much better route to take. Audis have more electronics than the average cruise missle. As such, stringing LONG audio cables is bound to cause problems. The shorter cable that directly connects to the head unit thus eliminates a lot of potential noise. Removing the head unit is really not that hard -- just requires special tools (can be purchased at www.enfigcarstereo.com). See the IceLink link in my sig for details & pics of an install that connects to the head unit. Good luck. avincar 12-22-2006, 09:10 AM TeddyBGame 12-22-2006, 11:03 AM ...it is much easier to plug in at the trunk. Those harnesses are hard to find; no one really sells them new anymore....unfortunately. I think I can find one for you.....and if not...just build you something for the trunk interface. drop me a line. trichards 12-22-2006, 03:44 PM trichards 12-22-2006, 03:45 PM |
