Does anyone know what the offset is for a 99.5 A4 1.8TSM w/ 16" sport wheels. Also what is the least/most offset I can go (still staying w/ a 16" wheel) without problems. My sport wheels will turn into my winter wheels (with snows), and I would like to get another set of 16" wheels but going with a different offset to push the wheel/tire a little closer to the fender edge, for mostly apprearance.

Measure the inside flange distance on the OEM wheels. If you go with any wider, split the difference, i.e. if you have a 6" wide rim with 4 " of offset and want to go with 7", look for a 4.5" offset.

The idea here is to preserve the steering pivot point on the contact patch.

I would recommend 17" rims for summer tires. I am very pleased with the look and performace when I made the change.

Most aftermarket wheels are offset of ET 35 to 40 mm. Some like A! are 32mm.
