running around with fog lights on all the time. What's the attraction, "Look at me!"??? It's rude (just like running high beams on all the time) and probably just as illegal. Whey you pay to replace one of the fog light bulbs you will not want them on all the time.

I did it in my A3 Jetta, because the headlights alone were worthless! I do it now in my 98.5 for the very same reason. I don't give a hoot about how it looks, all I care is to be able to see in the dark.

Furthermore, the fog lights are low and parallel to the road and will not blind incoming drivers.

You're judging just based on form, not on function. I hope you bought your A4 because it was a better car, not because of how it makes you look (different than a BMW).

I don't understand why so many people want the fog lights on anyway. You can see fine with just the headlights anyway. The foglights make the road surface a little brighter, but what for? So you can see if there is a ladybug crossing the road in front of you?
Also, the people driving around w/fog lights on during the DAY are just showing off - whoopie!! Waste of energy, and effort - it doesn't make your car look any better. If your car looks great(like an A4), it still looks great - no better. If you car is ugly(won't mention any by name), then it still looks ugly with fogs on!
The reason they're called fog lights in the first place is that they're supposed to be used when there is FOG - not to show off!
