Im guessing this is from the factory deck.... ayush 01-29-2005, 08:55 PM Basically i am trying to figure out how to disable the 1hr turn off feature. I have the concert 2 install in a 98.5 a4. Because my a4 doesnt have a CAN-bus, the on-off ignition does not work and the stereo cuts out after an hour. Does anyone know how to disable the 1-hr power off. (Note that in the diagram there is no S pin b/c it is controled by the can bus.) MacSub 01-30-2005, 04:21 AM Is there actually a pin present on that connector 3 along from the "-" (ground). This is where the ignition on should go, I can't believe they'd bother to actually remove the pin (actually maybe they would being Audi). If the pin is there, try connecting your ignition on feed to it. If it's not there then you'll have to fool the CAN-BUS connection into thinking you have CAN BUS. I think this is easy to do by linking a wire somewhere but can't remember, there was a post on here about it, or try looking in the tech section. What would happen if i wired the ignition wire (2 from the ground) to the pin for perm live? Any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks. TeddyBGame 01-31-2005, 05:10 AM I'm not sure what model car you have....but if you can tap into the CAN H or L wires from the instrument cluster...this will give you the Ignition function (via CAN). See my sig for link to detailed pix (84). -ted NSX JR 01-31-2005, 05:34 AM And it would STILL cut off after an hour. MacSub 01-31-2005, 11:11 AM If you use the ignition on wire it should then turn off with the ignition. I could be totally wrong though. NSX JR 01-31-2005, 12:51 PM MacSub 01-31-2005, 01:11 PM |
