I checked the tech section and found the p/n of the din kit, but it seems to be for the older A4 stereo. I need a din install kit for the 2001 S4 (or A4). LLTek has the brackets, but I can't find a trim panel to fit around it. The local stereo guy says it has to be custom made. This sounds strange since plenty of A4s are on the road with aftermarket stereos. What has everyone done to fill that weird trapezoid shaped gap the stereo would leave? I would really like to keep the stock look as much as possible, so shiny or cheap plastic fillers are out. Any idears?

Metra claims they have one that is an OEM fit now, but I don't believe it for a second (it has the same p/n as the kit I've tried) - if it'd fit, that's great, but this is what I did:

try autotoys.com. They have alot of stuff like that. I know they didnt' have one for my 2000.

match the stock look nicely. I just had it done, looks great, I will post pics one of these days.
