Simple question, but I have a Blitzsafe Audi/Aux DMX V.1 adapter in-hand hoping to be able to hook up my MP3 player real soon. I don't have a CD changer, just the in-dash CD player in the head unit. The adapter is the one that plugs into the cable where the changer would be (in a TT coupe). Will the head unit recognize the adapter and MP3 player, even though I've never had a CD changer? Or will I need a VAG-Com to program it into thinking it has a changer?

I searched here and did not find an exact answer to this question, since most people who install the adapter already had a changer.
