View Full Version : is buyin a single 4ohm sub a bad idea? will an amp be more expensive to push it?

why would that be a bad idea?

decent 2 channel amp bridged to push one 4 ohm sub should work fine.

if you get a good class D amp that is 2ohm stable in bridged(mono) mode, then consider get in a dual voice coil or 2ohm sub to take advantage of higher power output by your amp.

2 4ohm DVC sub wired parellel would yield 2ohms.
