I finally got around to doing my XM install today. I've had all the parts here for over a month and today was the perfect day to hook this up. Everything was going smoothly until I decided to test the whole thing out before I slide the headunit back in. The sound coming out was horrible. It sounded like total crap - like it was really high and the speakers weren't handling it. I'm guessing the blame is on the Blitzsafe. Has this happened to anyone else?

In my '00 A6 2.7T, I have a Pioneer XM tuner connected to the CD changer port in the truck with a Blitzsafe adapter and it works great.

I know someone who has the same setup but he had it installed, so he's not sure if there's supposed to be some workaround for the volume or something.

I have the same car and i did the xm install all my self, the only thing I can notice it that the xm plays quieter than the stock radio and cds. This is quite scarry when you switch from xm to cd and the cd is playing a song that bumps hard.Due to the 4 10's that i put in in the trunk.but other than that no problems.

I need to call Blitzsafe then. Thanks for the help!
