along those lines, is FME and mini-UHF a completely different connector type? some research indicates that there are mini-UHF -> FME converters, so that implies that they are indeed different.

just decided it was worth a $2 "experiment" at fry's... got a mini-uhf male-male connector and it fit right into the coaxial jack in the trunk.

now, the trick will be to find a FME->mini-UHF adapter for the phone end.
