I'm in the midst of attempting to hook up an aftermarket head unit to the Bose system in my '94 100CSq (I know, I know, bad idea. Don't remind me). I'm looking for some info on the wiring harness; mine's got three plugs: a black one with 7 pins, a brown one with 8, and a red one with 9. I've done the multimeter thing and found out which wires are hot, but I can't figure out which ones are the speaker leads versus which ones are for the CD changer, which I don't have (and thus don't need). There are a hell of a lot more wires that went to the factory head unit than any stereo should ever need. If there's anyone out there who's ever attempted this Herculean undertaking, and can shed some light on just what all those wires do, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks!

Thanks, man, that diagram was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better response. Just out of curiosity, where did you find it? You weren't, by any chance, trying to do what I am, were you? If you were, I'd love to pick your brain a bit, because there are a few questions that I still have (like why the black plug needs TWO negative battery wires, or why all the speaker wires aren't on the same plug...).
Thanks!
