I've owned two (MB75 and CD45z) and they sound great but self destruct in mere months (3 on both counts for me AND another AW'er - Chuck) They are made from cheap plastic internals and the mechanism SUCKS - always jams and is useless. Too bad, cause they sound so natural and nice. :-( Please don't do it to yourself tho bro, trust me. MasterB 09-11-2002, 07:08 AM and I can't afford McIntoch! What you running now? markbradford 09-12-2002, 05:46 AM European, high quality units that look dead stock in our cars. Check em out at continentalimports.com I ended up going with a Blaupunkt TravelPilot Nav system. Not that great SQ, but it was inexpensive for Nav. audi-o-man 09-12-2002, 11:21 PM Although Nakamichi decks look plain and simple and produce amazingly great sound, very warm and natural...BUT, they do have problems with the majority of their units, they do break down, too bad... markbradford 09-13-2002, 08:13 AM Sounded AMAZING. |
