custom glass. i know it's big dollars, but in the long run you'll be happier.

from our conversations you seem as much as an audiophile as me, so for optimum SQ kick panels just won't do.

I just had mine "glass" done on my doors to accomodate my Dyn's. I'll post some pics later today, but man it's soooo worth it.

A buddy just sold me his custom kicks. He paid $250 for them but I think usual cost was $300. I paid him $200.

What good does that do you? Not much, unless your willing to travel to Orlando to have some made.

These were made using the stock "kick" panels in the cars. They basically molded out a housing for the 5.25" and 1" tweeet (Diamond Hex S500A's, also which I purchased). It's a completely sealed enclosure, and they molded them so they shoot into the center area of the car and using the necessary space to fit the drivers and wiring.

They coated them in black vinyl which does not match the OEM panel exactly, but it's very close. I am going to locate different black vinyl to try and find an exact match, and then just recover them (it's only glued on).

For $250-300, they are a really nice job. They snap into place using the OEM mounting locations since it is the OEM panel.

They were made at Audio Excellence on 436 (Semoran Blvd). I'm not sure if the town is Orlando or Winterpark but I can get you a # to call and see if the price is still the same.

Just took them out last night. They are covered in gray vinyl. I worked hard getting the aim correct. They replace your OEM kicks, so you can
just take them out when your changing or selling.

and I believe he purchased both sets of Hex S500A's he had (1 set I purchased). I recall him saying they would have cost $300.

I'm not sure where the vinyl is from and it doesn't match the original coloring exactly, but it is very close.
