Im getting a Neo 35 and I wanted to know what the best way to power it was while it is mounted in the trunk. And does anyone have a good place to mount the corded remote control?

I recently installed a Neo in my trunk.

i) power: I tapped into the unused fuse #27 (which is for the rear wiper on Avants) (I used a $2 "Add-A-Circuit" which just plugs into the fuse holes and give you a wire output to hook onto) and just ran the cable behind the knee-bolster (just thread through there) and down the center console (tucking it under the plastic) and under the rear seat into the trunk. No disassembly required (except for the rear seat removal). I then connected a $10 filter to it and hung the player in the trunk using zip ties. I tucked all the cables under the trunk mat and stuffed the extra cable and filter into the little cubby hole which holds the tool kit so my install is really neat and tidy. I grounded everything to a bolt in the trunk cubby hole. It's the one used for the alarm horn I believe. Let me know if you cannot find it and I can take a pic or something.

ii) corded remote control: I bought a 36 cent bracket from Home Depot (for reinforcing 2X4's or something) and used it. Basically, it's a stiff piece of sheet metal about 2mm thick; I sprayed one side with glue and stuck some black cloth to it (to prevent scratches), shoved one end under the ashtray and the other end fits perfectly into the slot on the wired remote; then I bent the steel to give a good mounting angle; net result is that my remote is securely held directly in front of my ashtray (between the ashtray and shifter) at the angle that works best for me; my interior will not get scratched because of the cloth I glued to the down side (one of these days I gotta take a picture).

Please e-mail me if you have any questions.

Thanks for the information. As soon as I get it I'll probably need some help, but I can most likely figure it out form your description.
