Did you manage to keep the "stock" look with the install? Any comments or recomendations would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I am using 6 inch Morel woofers in the stock 4 inch location. It is slow going right now bc I am trying to get ready for a new job in a new city, while studying for a certification exam. Anyway, I believe the speakers will fit without too much work. I may have to mount them at a little bit of an angle inside the door, but I don't care. It really depends on the driver you select and the size and mounting depth required. I know several people here have made custom pods, but it destroys the stock look of the interior. The set I am using is a 3-way set if you are wondering. It has the 6-inch woofer with a 3 inch dome midrange and a 1 inch dome tweeter. The speakers sound great even though the supplied passive crossover is cheaply made. If you have anymore questions I will try to help as my project progresses.

I does change the stock look of the interior though. And in my case, the mod is irreversible. That's okay though... if I REALLY needed to put it back to stock to sell the car, I could just get new door panels through Audi, or find a junked car with the same interior and take the door panels off that one.
