I'm a newbie here. I've been kinda lurking for awhile, and I guess this is a good time as ever to start posting. I just recently(2 weeks) took delivery on a A4 1.8T Quattro Celebration w/Sport 17" and Xenons. (having gotten down on my high yet)
I tried installing the 8 disc changer from autotoys. After I had plugged it in to the socket and went to turn on my car, the radio stopped responding. Even after I unplugged the changer, the radio continued to stop responding. It doesn't even read SAFE
I checked the radio fuse in the box and it looks fine. I even disconnected the battery for 20 minutes. The only thing I could think of is that I forgot to ground the converter when I plugged it in. Can anyone tell me what's the problem?
