Dynaudi

I'm just about ready to pull the Bose amps and speakers out of my new 2001 2.7T. I can't tolerate the unatural highs and horrible bass in this system, and it gets much worse at higher volume levels.
Has anyone tried to fit 6 1/2" midwoofers into the doors? Also, how big is the tweeter at the top of each door, behind the small grille?
I plan on starting with retaining the Symphony head unit and Panasonic CD changer, then feeding an eq (maybe), then into a Tube Driver 3-way active crossover with high gain outputs. The amps will most likely be three Linear Power 2.2 HV or Brax (200 x 2). The speakers will be Dynaudio. The Dynaudio speakers are awesome! I'm going to try to get their System 240 mkII in the front and rear doors, and install two MW190 12" woofers into the rear deck, using an aperiodical damped enclosure system, in order to retain trunk space.
If all goes well, the car should be completed by the end of March. I will do most of the work myself, in my spare time.

http://www.dynaudiousa.com</a
