I recently put MB Quart 130's in the front of my S4. I got the Blaupunkt Adaptor, and ran RCA's out of the Headunit. Now I want to run SpeakerWire instead of using the Stock stuff. I am planning on using either a RockFord 400a4 or a 600a4...this would give me either 50watts or 75watts. Do I need to use better wire than Monster Cable 16gauge?

I recently replaced my system, ran all 12 guage speaker wire, it took a lot longer than I anticipated, I was bummed.

Then after having problems with connections (A lot of speaker terminals won't accept 12 guage, i.e. on crossovers and amps) I replaced all of the 12 guage with 16 guage, it worked MUCH, MUCH better and you are not going to be able to notice a difference going to anything bigger.

I made the stupid mistake so you don't have to, trust me, run the 16 guage!

at the x-overs, I tinned the ends of the wire - it was easiest to remove the bolt, put down the wire and then put the bolt back in. If I had used similar connectors there as well, it would've been easier, but would've costed some $$$

P.S. This is just a temporary set-up, so please don't make fun of how bad it looks :o)
