my V12 keeps blowing the fuse. I have the 750 watt V12 runnin' 2 type R 10" dual voice coil subs. I just put the DVC in and before that i blew 3 single coil 10" subs. Today we installed a 1farad cap to the amp and on the way home the fuse blew again. Anyone have an answer why this keeps happening

6 blow fuses
3 blown subs

Had the same thing happen with a Soundstream amp. The Amp was passing DC to the subs toasting three of them

Make sure the fuse size is the recommended one.
Make sure the power and ground wires are adequate for the amp(s).
Make sure the load you are putting on the amp is okay. If the 3 subs are all 4-ohm and in parallel, your load is 1.3 ohms. Can the amp handle below 2 ohms? How are the 2 DVC subs wired?
Verify the ground has a good connection. Use a wire brush to brush away the paint where the connection is.

If you are blowing subs and fuses, I would guess that you are loading down the amp too much due to your sub configuration. That'd be my first guess.

Stop by a stereo shop (preferabbly one with a garage, that way you can just wander in and they can just wander out to take a look. If it's a fancy indoor type place, they'll be less likely to come out at take a look/listen)

good luck,

if you turn down the gain and it keeps blowing fuses, then you have a wiring problem....or maybe you're just using the wrong fuse....
