You should check it out. They have the new Kenwood eXcelon MP3 player in the newest catolog. It is pretty sweet, I saw it last week, and it would be a great way to get a lot of music in the car.

View Full Version : Has anyone gotten the new Crutchfield in the mail? JA6SON 06-13-2000, 11:33 AM You should check it out. They have the new Kenwood eXcelon MP3 player in the newest catolog. It is pretty sweet, I saw it last week, and it would be a great way to get a lot of music in the car. Jason Foo 06-13-2000, 12:10 PM normally ends up being crappy... so if i wanted an indash mp3 player i'd go cheap at first, see how the market played out. I know alot of ppl in here like the kenwoods... but i dont think its worth the extra 300. Darren siberian 06-13-2000, 12:24 PM with my Kenwood head unit and changer, there's an auxiliary input in the changer that lets you add either another changer, a md player, or an mp3 player... (which is on the horizon) so it can be controlled thru the head unit. cool eh'? JA6SON 06-13-2000, 01:36 PM Yeah, I have an MDX-91, so I have the same option. I talked to the rep when he was at the local shop last week, and he said that a "changer" that was capable of playing multiple multimedia storage cards was on the market in Japan, and should be in the states by the begining of next year. Rockford has a similiar product available right now. Jason siberian 06-13-2000, 01:47 PM I guess it's only a matter of time b4 ALL of the manufactures out there start putting out this sort of product. I also have the new 2000 Kenwood catalog and I think I remember seeing a blurb in there that mentioned the mp3 player that can be plugged into the KDC-CX85 changer. |
