I've been without good sound since Halloween '97 - and soon I'll have it back...
Okay, I've decided to reveal my stereo system now that I have almost all of the components and the install is underway.
System Objectives/Constraints:
1.) Utilize existing pair of 12" Solobaric subs, Pioneer DEH-725 CD player head unit, Pioneer DEQ-9200 Full Din EQ, and Pioneer CDX-1250 12disc changer.
2.) Have a loud system all around - not just bass heavy, that plays clear/clean at these volumes.
3.) 1 or 2 amps that can be powered with a single 4ga power wire.
4.) Show-quality install/sound.
5.) Plentiful mid-bass/mid-range (often missed in systems)
6.) Retain access to spare tire.
7.) Stealth install (minimal changes should be noticed to a passer-by)
8.) Install done soley by myself (I've worked as an installer years ago, do it occasionally on the side, am always working on some kind of handyman project, and I'm and electrical engineer by education and occupation)
