Hi all,

This is my first post to the board and I am really impressed with how much dedication has been put into gathering and archiving info.

Any case I am due to pick up my 00 A4 1.8T Quattro w/ bose that I purchased through carorder.com. It's currently sitting at Beverly Hills Porsche/Audi waiting for the red tape to finish.

In my 94 Ford Mustang I've got an Alpine CDA 7939 with a CHAS-604 changer. I also have an Alpine MRVT500 and MRVF400 Amp's. The MRVT500 2 channel powers 2 10" Boston Acoustics Rally Subs. The MRVF400 4 channel drives a pair of Boston Acoustics Pro Series 5.4 separates in the front as well as a pair of rally 6x9's in the back.

Initially I didn't want the bose or sport packages but carorder happened to find one with everything I specified (even color) with just these two additions. Since the Mustang is on it's last legs I said sure what the heck.

I've seen mixed reviews on the bose system but have tentatively decided to stick with it and add some bass and see how it goes from there. My dilemma is that I have all this kick ass gear that I'd like to utilize in the new car.

HEAD UNIT & CHANGER

I'm probably gonna get the pioneer changer from clair so that will eliminate the possibility of the alpine deck and changer.

FRONT COMPONENTS

Should I keep the bose front speakers or would it be worth the hassle(?) to replace them with the pro series components? Are the bose speakers somewhat comparable to a Rally or Pro series speaker? Should I consider long term replacement of all speakers?

BASS

I'm considering the JL stealthbox but really am questioning whether or not to use my existing rally 10"s in a custom built box similar to the stealth. I'm sure it would be alot cheaper.

AMP's

I'd probably use the 500 to power the subs as I do now. Can I stick the 4 channel 400W anywhere in the bose system that would be beneficial (and non detrimental) to the other speakers?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can advise.
