Has anyone upgraded the Audio in their S4? I was researching and found that the S4 has a Double-DIN opening.
My S4 is still on order, but I want to plan ahead. From looking at the stock Stereo, I would guess that a kit is needed, but is there one available? I am also thinking of using Blaupunkt DigiCeiver München with the Blaupunkt IDC-A09 (Dash-mount 5-CD changer) which would fill both DIN openings.
I would also like to upgrade the speakers, but I have not found details on sizes. Does anyone have the sizes?
Any help would be appreciated.

My friend, you & I are in the same boat! My S4 comes next month, but I have most of the info you require. First, there is NOT a dash kit for the S4. I called all of the big dogs (including Metra) and they don't plan on producing a kit, period! You can use a 2-Din head unit, or you can get a 1-Din and cover the rest with an ABS plastic piece (similar to what I'm doing), an in-dash EQ, or something else. Now for speaker sizes, this is for the non-Bose system:
F.Door = 4" woofer & 2" tweeter
R.Door = 6.5" woofer
R.Deck = 6.5" woofer
Note: add another 2" tweeter in the rear door for the Bose system.
Also, make sure you take a look at the install by "Vorsicht". It should be later in this page or on page 2 or 3. Feel free to e-mail me w/Q's on components or other issues. Good luck!

You would benefit from going larger up front if you can.

They're my stereo dealer. He had to order them from MB Quart, but you can a get a MBQ dealer to do the same for you. They retail for $36 (MB Quart QM Audi frony adapter). If you're in the Bay Area, talk to John and tell them that Daryl sent you. 415-771-2039.
