I don't like the new y2k nav system, doesn't give me enough and it sucks to input. My reputation is that I have a "pigeon homing system" though, a talent for navigation out of the box, so your mileage may vary.
Stan 98.5 A4 30vQMSX (modified) 98.5 A6 V6-TDI-Q (Euro) My other hobby stanj 04-07-2000, 09:43 AM It's all you need (spacers and some screws etc). I didn't need any other mounting hardware, remember the Audi radio is DIN, just the face plate is not. So the kit is "all you need" (at leats in the case of my Sony MD deck it was). Because of connections, it was for free, but you have to pick it up in Europe =)
Stan 98.5 A4 30vQMSX (modified) 98.5 A6 V6-TDI-Q (Euro) My other hobby stanj 04-07-2000, 01:59 PM All I did is pull radio out, apply spacers, push Sony in, that was it. No bending or other screwing around (other than pulling new speaker cables for rear speakers of course =)) Good luck!
Stan 98.5 A4 30vQMSX (modified) 98.5 A6 V6-TDI-Q (Euro) My other hobby alanw 04-07-2000, 11:31 PM Yup, I just did a system with a Blaupunkt TravelPilot in my '96. Works great. It seems much more accurate than the Alpine I had in my last car, and I like the UI a lot better too. -alan |
