View Full Version : Will adding only an amp to 2000 1.8t BOSE system help at all?? Shoe 04-02-2000, 10:34 PM I have a extra amp from my previous car, what can i use it for my 2000 1.8T BOSE system. They said that it opened up the speakers, you can get'em louder, the bass will come through a bit better... but be sure not to run to much gain as you can blow the speakers. What kind of amp is it??? How does it compare to just a chip? a little off subject but thanks SCott eh-fow 04-06-2000, 02:25 AM I would think running 50w x 4 @ 4ohms would be just about right and anything more than that (although do-able as long as you take it easy) wouldn't make to much sense. But, since there is a "300" in that name, I'm assuming there is a bit more power than that available... maybe you could send some of it to a decent subwoofer??? The K04 is unbelievable... it sucked ass w/ the Neuspeed software (just a little faster than the chip), but the GIAC software really makes use of the K04. The car is MUCH faster than just a chip. I am trying to get a good article up on my website... but I've been spending to much time on my stereo project to get it done... I'll keep you posted.<p>Dan 99 A4 1.8TQMSX K04 Santorin http://a4q.tripod.com Shoe 04-06-2000, 08:39 PM |
