When running the wiring for your aftermarket power amp form the battery, do not run it near the ECU. EMFi (Electro Magnetic Frequency interference) can cause the Knock Sensor Contro Unit inside the ECU to activate thus retarding the ignition timing which will result in a loss of power. This phenomenon is even more noticeable in cars with upgraded chips. If you have an unexplainable power loss, or fluctuations on your torque band or acceleration seems less that stellar, check to see where your power cable to the amp is running. If it is near the ECU, re-route it outside of the ECU's protective box...
