After my unsucessful attempt on following the FAQ (nothing wrong with the FAQ, the problem is it very limited skill) on bose bass upgrade to collect the boomy bass, I ended up adding a amp to power the woofer suggested in the FAQ. Now, I have to say that the bass is much better than the factory speaker (much tigher bass). Added benefit from the amp is the option to adjust the bass from the amp. Although the upgrade is frustrating, but it's worth it.

I'm about to add a Sub to my BOSE system too. I''ve ordered my amps and sub but are still waiting for them to arrive!!
