Recently bought a 96 A6Q with factory Delta/Bose stereo unit sans CD. I am looking to add a CD changer but Crutchfield has no aftermarket untit and Audi OEM CD changer is $595. Is there an aftermarket unit available or a cheaper OEM price?

Forget about it.....I've probably spent, collectivley 45 hours researching the subject. Nothing else will work but the factory changer....hard to believe, but it's true. You're best bet is to post a 'wanted' add and/or check the for sale ads on Audi World and look for a used one.
