I was wondering if Sony's ES is really as good as they portray it to be? This is regarding both their home and car stuff.

ES gear is repectable in the performance segment, but it really shines in the features. If you love gimicks and toys you can't beat it. Just check out their new home theater recievers. The 777 and 555 both come with slick touchscreen remotes, and advanced DSP chips. Same goes for car gear. Most important though, is listen to it. Play with it, if YOU like it then it is good for YOU.
