where can i get one of these for a reasonable price?
for those of you familiar with my setup, i was under the assumption that i had both subs wired up.. i had plenty of bass and my gains were set about midway..
i then decided to set one of my subs up straight because i drilled in the holes kinda crooked.. as i took the sub out of the box, i noticed that it wasnt even hooked up! i hooked it up, straightened it out, and plugged it in.. WAAAY TOO MUCH BASS! i dont have a sub level out on my factory unit so i had to adjust the gains.. which i never did cuz im a lazy pos. instead i would modulate bass by turning my Bass down to -6.
anyways, i was listening to a cd that really didnt have that much bass and i pumped it up to the -2 setting.. the next day it was pretty damn warm so i had my windows open.. and if you have a sub, you know that when your windows are open, your subs sound sooo much sweeter.. i kept it on the -2 setting for my entire drive from boston to nyc.. cranked!
yesterday as i was changing my cd's around, i noticed that one of my subs was "creaking".. i then shut my system off, and manually pushed the woofer in and out.. squeak squeak squeak =(
i got these subs when i was out in LA.. ive called quite a few places around town and they say that they can get em, but for about $50-$75 more than i paid for them originally! theyre asking more for this sub that a 12w6!
im seriously considering going down to one sub.. but then i think i'll be pushing a little too much power to it via PC1400..
if i do go down to one.. what should i do? sealed? ported? bandpass?
