if not what else is needed?

i bought a panasonic in dash cd player for my a4 with the bose system. i purchased a dash kit from scosche to make the DIN chassis fit in the dash. i also bought a wiring harness so that i did not have to cut the wires. some people there are very helpful but they do not exactly know what they are doing. after one returned item and a number of phone calls i finally figured out what was needed. if you go with scosche you need th eVW01 wiring harness. it says on the package that it is not for the bose system. however if you buy the FAI2 which i just did today, it makes it able to operate with bose. otherwise there are complications between the amp in the receiver and the stock bose amp. i have not yet installed mine yet but i thought i'd tell you what you need.

the part # for the harness is VW01 and the FAI2 goes together with that as an adaptor. thought i may have been unclear
