I just got my new 2000 back from the audio shop. I put in a new Rockford 50X4 amp, with SAS 4" separates and Boston 6" rears. Basically, the system sucks still. Even the guys there are not happy and are taking it back in on Saturday to replace/modify, etc. Did I try and go too cheap? Does anyone have a single sub box in theirs. Please send me a picture if so. I really think that is what's lacking...balls. Any help would be appreciated between now and Saturday. Thanks, Joe
accurate front staging.... a sub would help imensely as well...just my nickel.

They are a custom box for the A4! It sounds amazing! I heard one in CT in an A4 and loved the sound. It does NOT take up any room at all. It attaches to the underside of the rear deck shelf. The two subs fire up through the factory openings. I think it holds either 2 - 8" or 2 10" subs. I dont know which model or anything, but your installer should be able to find this item.
I know if you ask in the A4 forum a few guys there have them.

The Audi A4 has really turned some heads since its introduction.
For this sporty sedan, we offer a unique Stealthbox solution that doesn't compromise significant trunk space. Twin 8-inch subwoofers, capable of handling 150 watts of power, fire through the rear deck of the A4 without any cutting of sheet metal required. The woofers are enclosed in a solid fiberglass enclosure that positions the speakers up and off the trunk floor. Grilles for the woofers are included.
Power handling: 150 Watts
Final load: 4 ohms
I hope this helps.
