I got the radio on sale a couple of weeks ago and had it installed with the scosche kit. My questions are:

Why is the DIN sized radio recessed into the dash? The installer said this was normal and that it was the only way to install it. Are the installers full of crap? Is it possible to mount radios flush with the scosche kit?

Anyway, please enlighten me somebody. My dash looks kinda weird with a radio set deeper into the console.
