I have installed my Alpine in-dash CD player in my 97TQMS. The sound quality is MUCH better than with the stock setup, even though speakers are stock for now(sort of...separate amp running rears, another running 10" tube). My question is a cosmetic one. I don't want to spend the money to buy an adapter kit from LLTek for the radio. Has anyone come up with a DIY fix to fill the 3/4" gaps on each side of the radio? I can't find black plastic with same texture to possibly cut and hot-glue in place. Home Depot?

Scosche makes a kit, but you can also buy a textured ABS sheet in either 1/8,1/16, or 3/32
