pretty impressive machines - none of which were TT's. Oh well, now I have a benchmark. Gotta say, the numbers don't tell the story of how much power my butt-dyno measures. It's been one hell of a car for the past 7+ years.
Thanks to Tony and the EPL crew for making it come together yesterday. You all make a very efficient and nice team.

than his closed dumps runs
Caviat: I (first EPL car) was putting down ~415 whp on the same dyno 2 weeks before. Judging by my A/F I might have a boost leak :-/ So I'm a little disappointed in my numbers... but comparing it to everyone else's numbers I still can't complain much.

But it would have been fun to see your car side by side with his on the open road.
you would have run much stronger. like the open dp's you told me bout (~430hp).
anyhow, its not bad, i just figured since you have a new tune etc, that it would have put out a bigger #. 3.18 FATS right? should be good for another ~20-ish hp?!?
Kevin's car put down ~385whp yesterday and ran 3.44 fats w/ 2 people in the car later in the day...

Tell Tony thanks again it was a great event. Besides being well organized it was fast paced keeping it very interesting.
I'll get some pics and video's up soon.
Starting with this:

in fact as one person said "attention all s4 owners, your cars are now slow"
Pretty much sums it up. The acceleration was relentless.

Stage 3 is fast, no disrespect, but DAPs car would have to be considered Stage 4 or more appropriately "Stage MOAR"

dizzy during a 2nd gear pull. I don't recall ever feeling that in any other car. Perhaps it was just my body at the time, but it really brought the point home. The HP/TQ curves are so smooth - I'll post up a pic tonight if not done already...
An hour or so earlier I had another awesome experience - Alan (str8blst) let me drive his Proto600 996TT. We had been trying to arrange such a drive for over a year now and it finally came to fruition. It was absolutely amazing, and it did nothing but make me want one of those even more. I have no idea why he wants even more power - it's just nasty as is. 2nd gear constantly kicked ESP in during pulls even with his 315 rear tires (not sure what fronts were, but I assume it was rear breaking loose).
Later on we overlayed DAP and Alan's dyno plots. They were very similar. Alan had slightly (<500 RPM) earlier power but DAP's up top was greater and for a longer range. We are comparing race gas to pump here, but nonetheless still very impressive for DAP considering how strong Alan's car is. The other thing I noticed was that with similar power curves, DAP's car did not kick in ESP during a 2nd gear pull with 225 snow tires on. I don't think he had it disabled, though maybe he did. It certainly wasn't spinning tires if that was the case. The day was cold, so maybe the snows (225) had better grip than summers (315), and likewise I'm not familiar with how much rear bias the 996TT has. But I was surprised that DAPs car had traction while Alan's had ESP kick in. Just something to note...
All in all, a great day!

Although EPL's 4 fans + 1 large 4' fan do a very good job:
