just curious,
i used to be a resident of california and prior to leaving i got a few parking tickets [i swear, it was only about 3]. as i was on the way out, i didn't have the time to contest the tickets and didn't pay them either. well, subsequently i received a letter saying that a bench warrant has been issued for my arrest!
i was wondering what is the statute of limitations in cali regarding the tickets as i am planning to move back there early next year. also, i'm planning on buying my a4 while there. will i have a problem registering the vehicle w/ the dmv?
i figure, to save myself some trouble, i'll probably just pay the damn tickets, but i don't want to if i don't have to [ie. if the statute of limitations has expired]!
thanks for any feedback.

PAY YOUR TICKETS! I paid a delaware ticket after 30 days (about 40). Unbeknownst to me, Delaware asked Virginia to suspend my license, which they gladly did. Six months later, I was arrested in DC for driving without a license and fined $150.00. Needless to say fighting a ticket in DC is absurd, so I promptly paid that too. I rarely get tickets, but now I pay them IMMEDIATELY and ALWAYS. It is the only way to guarantee you won't get screwed. If you are going back to CALI, take care of it before you do. I would have responsed off line, but no e-mail was left.
thanks and good day.
Andrew

Statute of limitation is 7 yrs. When you apply for registration it's going to hurt. Late fees are a bitch. don't do the crime if you can't pay the fine..
