View Full Version : Car on order has "HA" status; anyone explain meaning? MARCO 09-28-1999, 09:29 PM Dealer says its 3 weeks away---does that sound legit? Thanks Mark P 09-29-1999, 05:25 AM well, I end up getting it, but I had to tell the salesman how to get it and what it was. If you look in the A4.org FAQ's you would find the following: A4 FAQ: Order Status Codes C - Manufacturer Confirmation (Being scheduled for production) D - In production F - At port in Germany HA - On the ship IA - Arrived in port N - On the truck/train from port to dealer S - In stock at dealer Mark P '00 1.8T Silver / Onyx Cloth S.Seats w/ VIN# (D status) Philip M 09-29-1999, 07:24 AM These codes can be helpful in getting an idea of where your car is in the process, but shouldn't be taken too literally. For instance, while waiting for my 99.5 1.8t, my dealer had status codes showing 'on the ship' for over four weeks. Now obviously this wasn't the case. He also had a car roll off the truck into his lot while it still showed 'in port', so there is some lag and inaccuracy in the system. If your code shows 'on the ship' then there is an excellent chance that your car is less than a month away from you, and it could possibly be as little as a week away. Happy waiting! I know it's hard, but you will find it worthwhile when you get the car. Philip M. 99.5 1.8tms HA HA HA 09-29-1999, 08:17 AM |
