Dick Chiang at DynoSpot Racing (DSR) in Mountain View, CA has offered to match the group AWE pricing (basically $75 off GIAC chips). For the San Francisco Bay Area, this is ideal if you'd rather have a local install. DSR will offer the pricing until 30 April.
Although this is geared primarily towards NorCal Audi owners, DSR does do mail-in ECU chipping for those so-inclined. Some details:
- Installation/labor costs $50.
- S4 chippers will get their stock chip socketed and returned to them. I think A4 chippers can get this same deal for $50 extra.
- Tip S4 owners have a $300 "Tip-chip" upgrade available. Y2K Tip A4's do not require this since the factory-programmed clamping pressures are adequately set.
- ECU's can be mailed in with a 24-hour turnaround and method of return shipping specified and charged to the customer. Spare ECU's should be ordered in advance to ensure availability.
Drop me a line at the email above if you need more info.
-eric
