My A4 will now have someone to talk to at night! She's been lonely... you know how women are... yap yap yap so I just bought the wife a 1999 Passat wagon. Pick it up mon or tuesday.
The question comes to mind... will my "stock" 1.0 bar ECU work in the Passat for testing purposes? Anyone?
With tinted windows, sticky 16" rubber and a chip and it'll be one stealth grocery getter. : )
-- A4 1.8tqm (235hp), Passat Wagon 1.8t (150hp)

Good choice...I have seen a few in NorCal with nice wheel tire
packages and they look real nice...did you get blue? I personally
don't care for the green (too military looking)
Have fun playing with another one.
Steve S.
97 2.8QM

Please let me know if you can swap the ECU's! I am looking into getting an Avant or just like yours - Passat wagon. Did you get quattro?
Finally, how is the K04 working out? Did you get the fixed chip.
Sincerely,
Tomasz Wojewoda
Nope... no syncro. I was told it would not be available until late Q1. I was patient and waited 13 weeks for my A4... the wife... she's not so patient.
Still waiting on software for the K04.
Neibo blue. Looks like they took a gallon of silver paint and put a few tablespoons of blue in it. They should call it "almost blue".
Congrats on the new Passat. I wouldn't be surprised if a paasat wagon found it's way into my garage one day as a companion to my 1.8TMS.
cj
I gotta comment on the purchase.
Bought from Mahan. No fuss, painless, buying experience. Two thumbs up.
Good trade amount on the old car plus a fair price on the car. Pitty their service department can't be as good as the "front end".
Barney Garver will see my service business -- real pitty they don't do Audi.
