I just bought an '06 A3 CPO from my local Audi dealer. The car was originally a dealer trade that originated in Illinois, which requires both front and rear licencse plates. I live in Michigan, which requires only a rear license plate. Since the car originated in IL, it has the front plate holder on the strip running across the middle of the grille. Does anyone know if I can swap out that part of the grille for one that does not have the plate holder? I know it seems like a trivial thing, but I think the plate holder disrupts the clean lines of the grille, especially if there isn't a license plate on it.

They've gone up $12 or so since I bought mine. Click on picture below and filler plate description is about 2/3 fo the way down the page(There's also on in black and no chrome) They must be using a generic picture, because the A3 filler plate has 4 screw holes; not 3.
