View Full Version : How hard is it to retrofit an electric passenger seat on a 98.5 2.8? Possible at all? GusS 09-28-1999, 01:40 PM Reggie 09-28-1999, 02:46 PM have connections there. Reggie 98.5 30vQMS GusS 09-28-1999, 06:10 PM Ulrik 09-28-1999, 10:21 PM I just retrofited the complete interior in my A4 2.6 -96, including going from manual to power front seats. 1. There are no wiring harness prepared, you have to route a 12V wire (by a 30A fuse)and a ground wire to the seat. 2. The "rails" in the floor is the same, but the front mounting bracket is not!! On the manual seats you have one center mounting bracket that the seat slides within. The power seats are fastened by two bolts to the floor. You also have to remove the old center bracket (welded to the floor) to enable the new seat to slide back and forward. / Ulrik |
