<b><u>Sport vs. Premium</u></b>
Is is possible to have both sport and premium packages? Or is it one or the other?

Does the Sport suspension sit lower (like on the A4)?

Either way you get the same wheels, right?

<b><u>Nav, Bose, XM, and Bluetooth</u></b>
I'd like all these treats, but it seems they are hard to find. I could live w/out Nav, but not the rest. Were they all separate options, or available as some sort of package?

<b><u>Maintenance</u></b>
Audi stopped giving away free maintenance in 2007, right?

I've seen some 2006's saying that warranty/maint. was only good for 3 years/36k miles. I've seen others say 4 years/50k miles. Which is it?

<b><u>Certified Pre-owned</u></b>
If I buy a CPO A3, is there any extra warranty? There used to be, but I didn't see it listed on the Audi web site. Did they eliminate the extra CPO warranty?

<b><u>Why so hard to find?</u></b>
I am very discouraged trying to find any A3's on the market, much less options &amp; colors I'm looking for. What's the best way to find one? Craigslist and Autotrader are not very helpful. Even the local dealers don't have any.

This is the only local one available. What do you think?<ul><li><a href="http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/446221351.html">http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/446221351.html</a</li></ul>

Sport vs. Premium...
it's one or the other. sport was available in 06, but was replaced with the s-line package in 07. sport/s-line do have a lower suspension than premium. as for wheels, they are basically the same except for finish. sport/s-line are bi-color. premiums are gray.

Nav, Bose, XM, and Bluetooth...
you can get each item separately. xm was dropped in 07 and replaced with sirius exclusively.

Maintenance
06 was the last year that 4yr/50k maintenance was available at no charge. starting in 07, it was basically an option package for $550.

Certified Pre-owned...
a CPO A3 from an Audi dealership should come with a 6yr/100k warranty.

Why so hard to find?
A3s aren't as common as A4s. you don't see that many on the street let alone used for sale.

As for the used A3 in portland...
1. those wheels are not bi-color. premium package came with the gray wheels.

2. aluminum decorative inlays came with all A3s....base models included. the only difference was the ring around the air vents.

3. illumination package....that wasn't available in 06. don't even think its available now. all A3s have the illuminated vanity lights and d/p reading lights...base models included.

4. the bi-xenons on 06 2.0T were not adaptive. they were only self leveling.

5. looking at the pic, i'm surprised the seller didn't mention the symphony sound system but did mention things that were standard equipment as option packages.

6. $25k seems high for an 06. miles are low but i think you could get a better deal on a CPO from Audi.

I just checked Craigslist... there is <b><u>one</u></b> available in the entire state.

That is <b><u>EXACTLY</u></b> what I want, I just didn't think that I could afford it, much less find it.

I would buy that in one second flat for $25K. I wouldn't even negotiate.

I have a feeling that when you say "similar money" you mean many thousands more.

The local stealership wants $30k for a 2007 2.0T DSG sport that doesn't have open sky or xenons.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=226052287&amp;dealer_id=557916&amp;car_year =2007&amp;model=A3&amp;num_records=25&amp;make2=&amp;start_year=20 06&amp;keywordsfyc=&amp;keywordsrep=&amp;engine=&amp;certified=&amp;bo dy_code=0

we were looking to add an a3 to our stable and had test driven it -- and i just happened to see it online and pounced on the deal.

anyways - we paid 29900 for it. which is more than the 25k you're aiming to spend....but it has less miles than the one you linked to -- we also have the 3.2 with quattro and navi and sline....which your car didn't have. it was in the bay area fwiw

I went through the same search recently, finally found a CPO from private seller in order to get a great deal. The price on the craiglist one seems awfully high for a private seller in my opinion.

Good luck!
