Hi guys,

Ive recently purchased a 98 A3 1.8T with a Stage 1 APR chip already on it. From day one it never went real hard like a chipped audi should. I initially thought it could be a dirty AFM because the car was running a bit rough so I cleaned it out, reset the ECU and it went perfectly. The problem is, after a bout 10-20km of driving, it seems that the car loses the chip programming and runs like a stock car. Then it goes into limp mode and runs like an NA and uses a heap of fuel. If I disconnect the battery, it runs fine again, but after 10-20km, its the same story. The mechanic read the ecu codes and replaced the N75 valve. Problem is still there.. I have no idea what it can be. Any ideas?

Also check your wastegate, if the wastegate is gone you should have a funky semi clicking sound thru the exhaust.
