In http://forums.audiworld.com/a3/msgs/83611.phtml you mention 100 cell vs 200 cell. Am I to understand that lower number has some advantage?

In that same post you mention that you've seen it for lower price than APR retail. Do you remember where you saw that?

Finally, the AWE dp supposedly has a resonator. Does APR dp have one also? I don't want loud sound.

Thanks.

lower number = more free flowing.

You want a metal 200-cell. Something like the neuspeed unit. Pricey but really high quality stuff. I was told by several tuners that the difference between a 200 cell metal and a ceramic (usually 400-cell)can be 10hp and as much as 15 ft lbs... you hear lots of stuff tho.

I've heard from more people than not that 3" is too big. So the ticket seems to be a 2 3/4" unit that tapers to 2 1/2" back where it would attach to the cb. And I have yet to hear a complaint about the HJS German made 200-cell cat. I LOVE my DP but I didn't dyno 5 examples either so what do I know. I know I don't have a CEL... I know that.

As far as resonators... leave that to the cat back. I ran my car with a resonated cat-back only = no sound at all. I NS DP and a resonated cat back = some noise up high, almost none at idle or when creeping around, then I bailed the resonator so DP and NON-res = she growls quite nicely now. Could be too loud for some under boost but you can still creep around basically stealth. It's really not a loud car. But I came from an S4 with DPs and race CB so I'm used to something really flagrant.

Hope this helps.. good luck.
