I got a DICE kit for the holidays. I was just looking to install it in my 2006 A3 (Symphony/Bose, no external CD changer or satellite receiver), but this looks different from the ones I've seen discussed here.
None of the connectors seem to match CD changer connector in the glove box. The DICE instructions make it look like I need to pull the head unit and connect it directly to the back of the head unit.
Does anyone have a DICE unit that connected in the glove box, or is that only for the Ice Link?
Thanks for clarifying...

Note that even though the photos show the box labeled as a -R model, that was a misprint.... my DICE is actually the -T2 model.

http://oooo-a3.blogspot.com/2006/05/ipod-integration-with-dice.html</a

If your Dice is the I-Audi-R kit, I would be willing to trade with you. I bought it for a 2007 A3 that I have on order, but I can't use the I-Audi-T2 for that model year because there is no glovebox CD changer.
Let me know if you are interested. =)

Yes, it's the I-Audi-R. I would definitely be interested in trading; I'll send you a private message.
Have you looked into trading through DICE? That would seem safer than trusting each other, unless we happen to be geographically close (I'm near Philadelphia).

Thanks, yeah, your writeup was part of what convinced me that something was fishy!

I opened a ticket online with DICE, and they were initially very responsive, but then abruptly stopped communicating. I last heard from them two weeks ago today, on January 2.
So I just tried the phone, and they're sending out a -T2 cable today, and I'll send back the -R cable. Other than where they plug in, they are functionally identical (in our cars).
Thanks all for your help.
