Anyone using avant garde springs? What are your impressions?

I've been told by the local distributor that I can use them with the stock non-sport shocks and retain very good comfort while lowering about 1.5", could I get adjustable bilsteins and achieve only a 1.0" drop?

Tried the archives but seems these are not very popular. Are they any good? Given the reputation of the company I would guess they are.

Thanks for any comments

Formerly Michael Berger's car, Will Allen has a PES Supercharged 2.8 with the AvantGarde suspension (Shocks & Springs). You can ask him his impressions, since he used to have an Eibach/Koni set up on his 1.8T. I had the Eibach/Koni setup as well and have rode in his car. I would say the the A! package is definitely firmer. Too firm in IMO, and I think Will feels the same way.

I doubt you will find anyone who is using just the springs with the OEM non-sport shocks. In fact, most people will recommend that you replace the shocks. The firmer/shorter springs will be poorly matched with the non-sport shocks and will result in a bouncy ride and they will wear out quickly.
